The Bond Experts is the surety division of Signature Insurance, a Lexington, Kentucky-based independent insurance agency licensed to write in all 50 U.S. states. We focus exclusively on surety — contractor license, performance, payment, court, fidelity, and notary bonds — through direct relationships with A-rated national surety carriers.
If you've shopped for bonds online, you know most "bond sites" are lead-resellers — they capture your information and auction it to whichever agent pays most. We're the opposite: a real licensed agency where your application goes directly into our agency portal, gets shopped across our carriers, and comes back with a real quote — usually the same business day.
Why we built this
Signature Insurance has been writing all lines of commercial insurance since 2018. As more clients asked us about bonds — contractors needing license bonds, executors needing probate bonds, freight brokers needing BMC-84 — we kept hearing the same complaint: "Every bond site I tried sold my info."

Joe Baxter
Joe founded Signature Insurance in 2018 after years on the carrier side of the industry. He holds insurance licenses across the U.S. and runs the agency's surety, workers' compensation, and personal lines divisions.

How we work
You submit a quick quote form (under 60 seconds). Our team reviews your bond type, state, and obligee, then shops your application across our surety carriers. Most license, permit, and notary bonds are quoted same-day; larger contract bonds (performance, payment, bid) typically take 1–3 business days for underwriting. Once you accept the terms, we collect payment and the bond issues — most license and notary bonds same-day, contract bonds within 24–72 hours.
If you have bad credit, you have options. We work with carriers across the credit spectrum and have specialty programs for higher-risk applicants. Tell us upfront — we'll find a path.
